Is there live music tonight
No oyster dishes. They are more upscale pub food. The asparagus is to die for.
They do not have a gluten free menu. However, I believe, that you can choose many different items from the menu that are gluten free and you could have a simply wonderful meal.
Great food great service fair prices clean restraunt. Busy little place in the heart of downtown grants pass Oregon. Mostly sea food but also has a few none seafood options. Seating is a little tight but well worth the stop. Chicken strips basket was more than enough food fish tacos were excellent as well as the fish and chips the coleslaw was a bit to tangy for my liking. Great option for lunch!
Excellent food. Excellent service...Covid19 restrictions made getting seated a little slower, but the waiter gave us an asparagus appetizer to apologize for the wait. The staff was hustling to get everyone taken care of & it was wonderful to be eating in a restaurant again!
WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONEI've been calling this place since 12 today and it's now 3:46pm and they still have not picked up or returned my call. The web site states this is not a busy time. The phone message states it will call you back within a short time, this short time has been over 3 hours. No restaurant in the entirety of po dunk Grant's Pass has ever taken over an hour to return the call, hence the 1 star review. Just flat out unacceptable for a business
Excellent clan chowder. Daily lunch specials. Full bar with several local craft beers available. Nicely decorated and very friendly and helpful staff.
My experience was fantastic, sure it's a old rustic put together bar/tavern seafood joint. Other than it was a bit dark inside for a 3 pm visit, there wasn't much that could've been improved upon. Fantastic Food Awesome staffGreat over all service 5+++stars many thumbs up
Terrible..huge check..longer wait..food even worse..laughing clam was a joke..all of our food came at once..appetizer,saled, soup entree...all late and looked and tasted like it sat under a heat lamp for some time. More of a bar don't go there for dinner beautiful building but the kitchen staff and the quality of food was a joke especially with what they charge do yourself a favor and go somewhere nice this ain't it!!!!!!
Stopped to grab dinner for takeout. The food is really incredible. Good fries, the calamari was perfectly cooked. All their sauces seem to be house made and they are great
LOUIE LOUIE SALAD WAS FABULOUS ALSO GRILLED COD WAS VERY TASTY. FIRST PLACE I HAVE FOUND THAT COOKS/SERVES TO MY NEEDS. EXCELLWNT SERVICE!
Great food. We had the fish and chips and the fish tacos - both delicious! Good beer selection including local selections. Service was friendly and efficient! Highly recommended.
I’ve been to this place twice in the last week only because co-workers at the hospital highly recommended it. The first experience tall blonde bartender forgot to put my order in, (she did buy me a beer). Then the burger was burnt along with the bun. The second experience I decide to take a couple of my friends there, and the waitress neglected us. She decided it was time to sit down talk with her friend instead of attending to the tables she had been assigned. I ended up having to get up to get silverware and napkins for the table. The food was edible but nothing you can’t find at a long-jonh silvers or an IN-N-Out.
Great selection of food for any taste. The food tasted excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area.
Staff are great, and friendly. Food is good, and there is a good selection of drinks. Really good ambience. I came over from U.K. 4th. time in Grants Pass. The Clam has always been the same.
As always awesome food, service, and atmosphere!! Thanks Chase for the great s ervice!!
Being on a road trip from Bay Area, Ca. We were looking for a local spot with good brew and food. This definitely checks off those boxes. We came on a Thursday evening and this place was packed. You could see alot of the patrons are regulars or know each other. Melinda our waitress was on point, unlike most restaurants nowadays, she was also seating guests, bussing tables, taking orders and serving!
I make a point to stop in whenever I go to Grant's Pass. Some great food and beer.
My favorite restaurant outside and inside seating great food
Some of the best seafood in Grant's pass awesome Coconut Curry Prawns And pasta is also 5 star mmmm
Great clam chowder and seafood all 'round. Friendly bar service. I'm not off fan of the noise level in there. High ceilings and the noise just elevates around the room. But clean, expeditious and the food is fresh.
One of my all time favorite places, and I grew up in So. Cal. beaches. Have been eating there since it opened in 1996. Only problem is we now live in Mt. Hood National Forest. Ubers' too pricey. Be there in a few weeks though. Nothing bad on the menu, and too much to love.
Great service. Delicious food.
Very friendly staff! And great craft brews! Food was delish!
Great service, excellent food. One of the best ever Chef's salads.
Love Laughing Clam!Fun place. Great happy hour. Live music on the weekends. The clam chowder is very good, especially with their ale bread, you can really taste the ale.Our out of town guests love this place.Cool historic brick building. Long antique bar. Fireplace.Great service!
Delicious beer. They've got like 14 craft brews on tap. The seafood was fresh and delicious. Plus, they've got this amazing garlic mayonnaise for the fries.Yum!
I love this place. Great food. Best tortilla soup EVER! If you haven't tried it yet, you're most definitely missing out. 🍻
The food was quite delicious and reasonably priced for being in the middle of the city. We went before the live music but it was still a very lively place. I would not go there expecting a quiet meal. I definitely enjoyed the experience.
Wait staff is friendly, can be a very hopping place on weekends, music usually on weekends, food is excellent, especially like fish and chips here, garlic tartar, fry sauce. Beers on tap change regularly. Discovered my favorite beer here, nut crusher by wild ride... it's a porter...Great place to experience new Pacific northwest brews, relax, and enjoy music on weekends. Fantastic place to go for St Patrick's Day!
Our frequent go too! Love the food and staff! Happy hour appetizers are the best. Such a friendly environment with a great mix of young and old, locals and tourists.
Music was awesome. Great services. I spend a great services. Atmosphere as good. Everything was well organised. Staff were nice. Everything came of kitchen was fresh and flavorful.
Awesome food, great customer service
After a day of complete ambivalence toward food, it was the luck of the gods that sent me to Laughing Clam for dinner today. Not only was the staff friendly and quick, all wearing masks and being mindful of social distancing, but the food - oh the food.First off, I don't know if it was luck or if I did something deserving, but I got an extra strip of fish in my fish and chips.Second off, every piece of fish was perfectly cooked. Not even approaching dry, it was flaky and rich and evenly coated with a light and gorgeous batter.Lastly, eat the cole slaw. Just do it. Best slaw I've ever had.Tl;drFood goodEat here
The food was so amazing but our waiter barely check on us my table ran out of drinks multiple times and we had to track him down just for refills
Fun place to go and eat with family/friends. Great seafood and steak options. Has a full bar and large beer selection.
Good variety of food and our server was great
Server was very knowledgeable about the craft beer selection and spot on with description. Food was delicious, atmosphere perfect, and dining experience lovely. I would suggest changing the deep frier oil as things were a bit brown, but overall fantastic.
In the heart of the grants pass downtown district and AMAZING FOOD! I will definitely be back! I recommend the seafood mama.
Excellent food & service. Great ambiance. Happy customer ♡
First time in! Born and raised in GP (with a few moments elsewheres)... I've just never been able to make it in to the Clam! Have heard about it since it opened... ALWAYS good review from friends and family! Finally made it in with some co-workers and my oldest today! Great atmosphere! Friendly service! Food smelled wonderful, and menu was competitively price for local surf/turf/and draft around area! Ordered "the Clam's Own" Burger! Outstanding! All of coworkers orders looked good too! Monster clam chowder bread bowls! <3 A win with the Laughing Clam! Under 21 allowed until 8pm... 21 and above after!
Awesome service and tasty food...Highly recommend the spinach salad and fish and chips!!!
Where should I start. Atmosphere is great. Their clam chowder was so delicious. Not smelly. Had their pumpkin cheesecake light and tasteful. They're whipped cream was not too heavy just perfect.
The food was very good and the servings were huge, I suggest sharing with someone, being very hungry and still doing a doggie bag!The drinks were well priced and interesting.
Me and my boyfriend decided to try the laughing clam out for the first time after hearing about it from a co worker. We both tried the clam chowder bowl which was delicious probably the best I’ve had in the area outside of driving all the way to the coast, and our server Jenny W. was awesome. Would highly recommend dining here. Seafood and beer fix all in one. Can’t wait to come back to try the other items on the menu!
Awesome place to get some fried fish and shrimp
Delicious and quaint place. Food was well-seasoned and ginger is a fantastic addition to coleslaw that brightens it up. Staff were very friendly.
Best food n bar in downtown grants pass. Wonderful service and welcoming environment for solo to group visits. Bit noisy when crowded but food and beer selection make up for almost anything. Beer varieties from all over Oregon. Seafood oriented menu and the clam chowder is thick and delicious, a favorite go to. Keep an eye out for the happy hour specials a good time to come and keep it budget friendly.
Food quality was not as good as I remembered and was over priced. I hope they get back up to speed . They need to work on social distancing.
Being here with a party of 20 that grew into a party of 25 while there was another party of 20 happening made for a very noisy time. The restaurant has a bar-like feel to it, but in a good, northwest way. If you have not been, and are looking for great fettuccine with creamy Alfredo sauce... or shrimp done brilliantly this is where it is. The location is in the heart of downtown, with street parking, or parking in the lots across the street. In all, good experience!
I love this place! The food is awesome, and everyone on staff is very friendly. They have high-level live music, too.
Good people, great food and atmosphere. Fun times!
Only stopped for drinks, but was impressed with the vibe and buzz of the place. Very seafood oriented menu with tons of clam offerings, right? Definitely on my short list to try.
